Coyote Point Systems, leader in affordable application delivery for small and medium sized businesses, has announced the release of Equalizer VLB to the UK market.
Equalizer VLB works with existing Coyote Point load balancing systems and the VMware management API to increase high availability and acceleration of VMware virtual servers. Monitoring server performance in real time, Equalizer VLB makes better traffic flow management decisions based on server status to optimise performance and efficiency. Equalizer VLB provides organisations with compelling benefits such as increased continuity through non-stop availability. Further to this, a reduction in the number of servers means less capital expense, and a reduction the ongoing operational and environmental costs associated with this, such as power, cooling and management issues.

Equalizer VLB is currently available in the UK as Phase One of Coyote Point’s VMware Infrastructure integration. This VLB Beta is available to existing Coyote Point customers as a free download (compatible with E350si, E450si and E550si load balancers), and is already bundled in with the new E650si load balancer. Phase Two is planned for release in late 2008, and will be a cost effective software license upgrade for tighter VMware integration.
