Bletchley, Milton Keynes - 20th February 2008 - Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 expansion module and Linksys SPA-932 available

Responding to the expansion modules offered by snom and Aastra, both Polycom and Linksys are now offering extension keypads in their SIP handset range. The Linksys SPA-932 expansion module is designed for use with the SPA-962 handset, and up to two expansion modules can be used at the same time. With 32 programmable buttons and BLF functionality on each module, this means up to 64 additional buttons can be in use.

The Polycom SoundPoint IP 650 Expansion Module is compatible with the SoundPoint IP 650 handset. Each module includes 14 programmable keys and BLF functionality, and up to three modules can be used at a time. This expansion module includes a back lit LCD that can change to reflect the current configuration of the voice network. With an IP 650 expansion module, the SoundPoint IP 650 handset transforms into a powerful reception console for high end use.

The addition of these two expansion modules to the VoIPCortex Approved range enables resellers and their clients a wider choice in SIP handsets. With auto-provisioning, configuration of the voice network remains simple and complication-free, while greatly increasing the capabilities of the system.
